Job Description

Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in Algona, WA, which is a suburb of Seattle. Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium and heavy-duty trucks sold under the Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. For more than forty years, Dynacraft has provided the company’s truck manufacturing divisions and PACCAR Parts service parts division with high quality components, subassemblies and specialized services. Dynacraft has two manufacturing facilities in Algona, WA and Louisville, KY.
Process Improvement Coordinator-1 opening

  • Support on-going plant operations as they relate to ensuring overall product and process quality.
  • Provide quality input to operations improvement projects and the corrective action process.
  • Participate in the development and effective implementation of sustainable quality related initiatives in areas of manufacturing, distribution, materials, and engineering, in support of defect free product.
  • Represent Dynacraft Quality Assurance to customer and supplier representatives.
  • Track internal scrap process and reduction projects.
  • Maintain the timely and thorough calibration of inspection and testing equipment.
  • Support the product development process (APQP), including Process Control Plan development, Safe Launch Plans, and Layered Audits.
  • Assist Supplier Quality Managers to prevent the pass through of defective supplier product.
  • Support and contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of Dynacraft’s TS16949 Quality System.
  • Perform administrative tasks associated with Plant Quality.
  • Comply with Dynacraft Business Operating Systems, Quality Management Systems, and overall objectives to ensure productivity and quality goals are achieved.


SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in manufacturing environment with an emphasis on product and process quality.
  • Functional understanding of Quality Management Systems, including TS16949.
  • Demonstrated skill in supporting effective problem solving activities.
  • Ability to effectively interpret and explain drawings, specifications, and other customer requirements as they relate to product and process quality.
  • Basic Understanding of the AIAG Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Access, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
      
    • Proficient in use of quality methods to achieve best in class product and process performance (e.g., statistical problem solving, process capability analysis, DOE, FMEA, Control Plans, 8D, Kaizen, etc.).
    • Six Sigma Black Belt Preferred
    • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
