The Accounting Supervisor reports directly to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for supervising Accounts Receivable, Payroll and General Accounting while supporting the day-to-day activities of the department. This position offers significant exposure to accounting systems as well as overall division business processes and systems.

• Participates in the management of the month-end process providing accurate financial information and analysis while ensuring financial reporting integrity and timely completion.
• Prepares and reviews financial reports, reconciliations, journal entries and other accounting reports and statements to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Prepares and reviews elements of monthly financial package which may include comments, financial statements and other financial information.
• Responsible for labor accounting and reporting ensuring that labor reporting is sufficiently thorough and meaningful.
• Coordinate and lead in statistical inventory audits and physical inventories including the reconciliation processes.
• Participates in the business planning process including elements of the financial forecasts and overhead and capital budgeting.
• Various special projects, ad hoc reports assigned or requested from time to time.
  
  

Must possess strong analytical and organizational skills in addition to excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong automated system and PC knowledge (MS Office Suite, emphasis on Excel and Access) are required as well as a sound understanding and ability to apply GAAP. Individual should be customer service and detail oriented, highly organized with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple time demands. They should be self motivated with a can-do attitude and the ability to identify and implement process improvements. Must be flexible and work well both independently and as part of a team.  Previous lead or supervisory experience is desired. SAP and/or ERP experience is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree with major in Accounting require. CPA and/or MBA preferred. Four to five years related experience with proven ability to supervise.
